Please note that the Central London Congestion Charge Zone is to be extended westwards with effect from Monday 19^th February 2007.  However, this should not affect the Marylebone Road itself, which (at that point, around where it intersects with Gloucester Place) remains outside the zone.  Depending on their route, car drivers should also be able to escape the charge when driving into the area, as the westward continuation of Marylebone Road (Westway, A40) is one of the free through-routes that enable vehicles to cross the zone during charging hours without paying [further details from www.tfl.gov.uk].
